Education Resources

The City of Access website provides information on free Internet access and free or low-cost computer sites for DC residents.

The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a project of the Child Care Bureau, is a national resource that links information to people so that all children and families have access to high-quality comprehensive services.

BJ Pinchbeck's Homework Helper contains over 700 links that help students with their homework.

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) offers a number of programs year-round, including arts, sports, Discover DC, and nature.  DPR also has a few week-long sleep-away camps. To find sleep-away camps across the country, visit the KidsCamps website.

The Head Start Bureau provides comprehensive information about the Head Start program: how it works, who can use it, how to start up a Head Start program, how to get your child into a Head Start program, and Head Start locations. A Spanish version is also available.

The Department of Education is dedicated to information and resources especially for parents of children of all ages.
